The Blueblack Hussar - A film about Adam Ant (Heavenly Films)

Last night I went to see this wonder filled film looking at the life of Adam Ant during his Blueblack Hussar Year, and not the disaster of the black and blue years that befell him after Prince Charming and all that Standing Up and Delivering business.
The film was some close up performances (in full) and some revealing INTELLIGENT chats, a bit of shopping in Paris, and studio time with Charlotte Rampling, his heroine.
There was Amy Winehouse's collaborator.
There was Allen Jones his tutor at art school.
There was a little box of Adam's art work he made and delivered to Mr Jones with Johnny Rotten.
SO CUTE!!!
Jack Bond the director was never out of focus and the Q&A afterwards with a young eagle-eyed Travis from Heavenly Films was the fun back-stage stuff.
Jack Bond has also filmed Bob Dylan but he said Adam Ant was his most challenging artist to date.
Understandable.
Adam Ant has IT.
The stuff of genius and originality if you ask me.
Adam Ant is adamant that he is ready and never nervous and only wants to be on stage or in bed.
Also understandable.
And not at an orgy with sad groupies.
He came across as the sort of man who girls LOVE to play with, especially girls with make up and lots of nail polish. He doesn't seem the type to steal your nightie and try it on in private. He'd definitely play dress up in the same room, and ask you how he looks. Straight up.
AND he didn't come across as a bitter man, when he could be.
I have never been a fan of Manager Malcolm McLaren.
EVER
Nor will you ever change my mind on that.
Here's a survivor. ADAMANTLY.
