Glen Matlock ... The Anarchy Arias

Glen Matlock has helped the Royal Philharmonic make a record and there is supposedly going to be ... (are you sitting down?)  a punk musical on the west end  ...

I don't know what to say about this... I noticed John Robb (Louder Than War) pointed out there was an album called Classical Punk a long time ago...

4 and 5 May - WIRE at The Garage, London

SILVER/LEAD is the 15th studio album from WIRE ... 40 years since their first record ... Yet it's about as far from nostalgia as you get ... it's "uniquely addictive 21st century psychedelic post-punk"
The show on 5 May was awesome ... I don't know how they make the sound they make - at some point in the evening you find yourself in a trance-like state ... you notice the drummer has his eyes closed, the guitarist's hair covers his face, Graham is almost wringing the notes out of the bass to make it deeper and deeper and cool as ever on the front line, Colin Newman...  since the first time i saw them at the 100 club, when they stood still and so did everyone in the audience, and the lights were low and the dream began to here ... seems no time at al....  I can't believe it's 40 years since their first record... It's truly as far from nostalgia as you can get.
"THIS IS THE SOUND OF A UNIQUELY ADDICTIVE 21st CENTURY PSYCHEDELIC POST-PUNK BAND"
